NVTC Welcomes New Leaders to Its Class of 2028 Board of Directors
The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) has announced the addition of 20 bright leaders to its Class of 2028 Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2025. This pivotal move comes at a time when the technology landscape is undergoing remarkable changes, influenced significantly by advancements in artificial intelligence and evolving dynamics in federal government contracting. The NVTC aims to stay at the forefront of innovation and to develop a workforce that is well-equipped for the future.
Greg Baroni, who is the founder and CEO of Attain Enterprises, has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors. His return to this leadership position is no coincidence; Baroni's previous tenure reflected a steady hand during the tumultuous COVID-19 pandemic, where he worked alongside NVTC's President and CEO, Jennifer Taylor, to enhance member engagement and organizational resilience. With a solid understanding of the regional tech ecosystem, Baroni is uniquely positioned to take the NVTC into a new phase of growth and innovation.
In light of Baroni's leadership, the NVTC is doubling down on its commitment to enhancing the diversity of its Board. Jennifer Taylor emphasized the need for comprehensive representation to mirror the multifaceted nature of technology sectors prevalent in the area, such as cybersecurity, AI, drone technology, and blockchain, among others. Each addition to the Board will help NVTC to fulfill its mission of promoting modernity and relevance within the ever-evolving tech industry.
Bruce Caswell, the outgoing chair and leader of Maximus, expressed pride in the accomplishments made during his two years at the helm. Under his watch, NVTC expanded its membership base to 500, solidified partnerships with local stakeholders, and elevated NVTC's voice within the technology community. The non-profit organization has become an essential advocate for innovation and has solidified its status as a catalyst for change in Northern Virginia’s tech ecosystem. Moreover, he anticipates staying actively engaged as immediate past chair.
