(UNFI) in Pompano Beach and Miami have made the choice to join Teamsters Local 769. Roderick Jackson, a warehouse associate at UNFI and now a member of Local 769, expressed the collective sentiment, stating, "We joined the Teamsters because we need the protection of a strong, enforceable union contract." The recent vote marks another success in a wave of unionization efforts at UNFI, where over 3,000 workers have affiliated with the Teamsters since 2022.
