Hisense Expands ITS ConnectLife Platform to Third-Party Devices via Google Home API
In a significant move, Hisense, a leading global brand in consumer electronics and home appliances, has unveiled a new integration that expands its ConnectLife platform to include third-party devices through Google's Home API. This integration, which will be available this fall, is designed to enhance the user experience by allowing seamless management of various smart home products, not just from Hisense but also from other popular brands.
Enhancing User Integration with ConnectLife
The ConnectLife app will now permit users to easily onboard and control third-party smart devices that are either Matter certified or compatible with ‘Works with Google Home’. This upgrade aims to offer a more unified smart home experience, improving the connectivity and automation capabilities of users’ smart devices.
As stated during the recent Google I/O 2025 conference, Hisense is highlighted as a key partner in this integration, which leverages access to over 750 million devices utilizing the Google Home API. This expanded connectivity framework enhances device compatibility and reshapes automation possibilities, enabling users to manage Hisense products alongside third-party devices like smart plugs, lights, doorbells, and more—all from a single application.
A Simplified Smart Home Experience
With the new features in ConnectLife, users can create a more cohesive home environment that integrates entertainment, pet care, and air quality management systems, thereby streamlining their daily tasks. The app will support one-touch modes and personalized automation that can link Hisense products with third-party devices. For instance, it could allow air conditioning settings to adjust automatically in response to air quality sensors or enable smart lights to provide visual alerts when the temperature in a Hisense fridge hits an ideal cooling point for beverages.
This functionality isn’t just about convenience; it provides significant benefits to users with varying needs. For individuals with hearing impairments, for example, visual alerts through third-party smart lights can serve crucial purposes, while busy parents with full hands can manage home settings without the need to juggle multiple apps or devices.
A Commitment to Smart Living
Miguel Becerra, director of Smart Home Experiences at Hisense Americas, emphasized the company’s commitment to simplifying smart living. “At Hisense, we are dedicated to enhancing the smart life for everyone. This integration improves the ConnectLife system, allowing for seamless control that makes everyday life more practical and enjoyable for our customers,” he stated.
With the updated ConnectLife app, users can expect enhanced functionality landing on both Android and iOS platforms this autumn.
