New Vision Display Marks Two Years in Malaysia with Manufacturing Growth and Customer Engagement
New Vision Display's Journey in Malaysia
New Vision Display (NVD), a company based in Shenzhen, China, is proudly commemorating two years since the establishment of its manufacturing facility in Malaysia. This significant milestone marks a pivotal moment in the company's strategy aimed at promoting customer growth, minimizing risks, and fortifying the resilience of supply chains in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Establishment of NVD in Malaysia
In August 2022, after conducting extensive research through various countries within Southeast Asia, NVD formally launched its Malaysian subsidiary, NVD (M) SDN. BHD. The decision to set up shop in Malaysia was influenced by various factors including operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, workforce readiness, supply chain stability, and the accessibility of language. The company had previously established connections in Malaysia, bolstered by senior leadership with ties to both Malaysia and Singapore, which played a pivotal role in this move.
Overcoming Challenges and Expanding Production
The timing of the facility's establishment was crucial, as global supply chains were still grappling with the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. By initiating operations in Malaysia, NVD has fast-tracked production flexibility, reduced lead times, and enhanced regional support for its customers. Despite initial travel restrictions that delayed the start of operations, NVD successfully launched its screen protector production lines in December 2022. This was followed by an expansion into Liquid Crystal Module (LCM) and touch panel production by June 2024.
Today, the NVD Malaysia plant plays an instrumental role in delivering high-quality, customized display solutions. With a spacious facility covering approximately 10,000 square meters (107,639 square feet), the plant holds certifications for ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001. This reflects NVD’s commitment to not just high-quality production but also environmental sustainability and workplace safety.
A Focus on Customer Needs and Future Growth
David Kruse, the CEO of NVD, stated, "Setting up NVD (M) SDN. BHD. and increasing our production capabilities in Malaysia allows us to align better with our customers' evolving needs. Over the past two years, our Malaysian operations have augmented our ability to support our OEM partners and their supply chain requirements strategically and decisively."
With a sturdy foundation now in place, NVD Malaysia is poised for further growth and development, ready to meet future customer demands and facilitate shared successes around the globe. As NVD moves forward, it continues to focus on innovation and responsiveness in an ever-changing marketplace, ensuring it meets the needs of its clients effectively.
In celebrating this two-year journey, New Vision Display not only looks back at what has been accomplished but also sets sights on what lies ahead — embracing new challenges, opportunities, and partnerships that will drive the company forward in the manufacturing landscape.
