CHINT's Role in Shaping Africa's Energy Future at AEF 2025
CHINT's Impact at the Africa Energy Forum 2025
In June 2025, CHINT participated in the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) held in Cape Town, South Africa, where over 6,000 delegates convened to discuss critical energy needs and aspirations across the African continent. The forum was marked by the presence of energy ministers, utility executives, and representatives from development banks and technology providers.
The primary focus was on solidifying a collective voice that champions Africa's energy demands and encourages impactful discussions surrounding sustainable and decarbonized energy initiatives. A remarkable target was shared: the goal of generating 300 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030, requiring a fourfold increase from the continent's current capacity.
During this significant event, CHINT showcased a range of innovative solutions and flagship products designed to cater to diverse customer needs across several markets with global sustainability goals. Among the highlighted products were the 750kV Natural Ester power transformer, a variable shunt reactor, and a 550kV gas-insulated switchgear. These technologies showcase CHINT's commitment to supporting the energy sector through advanced solutions.
